On the first day of the visit to Serbia by Iran’s General Commissioner and Head of the Executive Committee for Iran’s participation in the Belgrade Expo, a joint meeting was held with H.E. Mohammad Sadeq Fazli, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Serbia, to discuss strategic planning and coordination for Iran’s successful participation in the Belgrade World Expo 2027.
The Iranian delegation included Sadeq Beikzadeh, Iran’s General Commissioner for the Expo, and Mohammad Mahdi Tandgooyan, Deputy General Commissioner and Head of the Executive Committee for Iran’s participation in the Belgrade Expo.
During the meeting, all operational departments of the Embassy—including cultural, economic, and commercial sections—were present, and the implementation phases of Iran’s participation in the Expo were thoroughly reviewed.
The necessary coordination was established to ensure full Embassy cooperation, exchange views on the Ambassador’s proposals, and incorporate his insights toward making Iran’s presence at the Expo as distinguished as possible. It was also agreed that during the Ambassador’s first upcoming trip to Tehran, meetings would be held with operational teams at the venue of international exhibitions to fully plan and align all subsequent stages of Iran’s participation.
This meeting reflects the Islamic Republic of Iran’s strong commitment to precise management and strategic coordination throughout all implementation phases of its participation in the Expo.
Expo 2027 Belgrade, themed “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All,” will be held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, from May 15 to August 14, 2027 (25 Ordibehesht to 24 Mordad 1406 in the Iranian calendar), over a period of three months, with the participation of more than 130 countries and international organizations.
