The 12th meeting of the Executive Committee of Expo 2027 Belgrade was held with the objectives of assessing the progress of implementation measures, monitoring the execution of previous resolutions, and enhancing coordination for the effective and purposeful participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this international event.

During the meeting, committee members reviewed decisions made in previous sessions and emphasized the necessity of planning to maximize the potential offered by the 19th International Tourism and Related Industries Exhibition. This exhibition was identified as a strategic platform for comprehensively showcasing Iran’s cultural rituals and traditions aligned with the thematic statement of the Expo, as well as for raising public awareness and promoting national engagement regarding Iran’s presence at Expo Belgrade.

Accordingly, it was decided that Iran’s pavilion at Expo Belgrade should be uniquely designed and implemented within the framework of the Tourism Exhibition. Furthermore, the exhibition’s organizer was instructed to deliberately incorporate the theme of Expo Belgrade into its promotional and communication strategies, thereby effectively leveraging this platform to enhance Iran’s international interactions.

The meeting, attended by members of the Board of Directors of the Association of Exhibition Organizers, also examined avenues for the Association’s effective involvement in Iran’s participation process in this international event. It was agreed that a transparent, mission-oriented cooperation memorandum—with clearly defined roles and responsibilities—will be developed between the relevant authorities and the Association of Exhibition Organizers. Additionally, a permanent representative from the Association will attend all related meetings of the Expo Executive Committee to strengthen decision-making coherence and ensure seamless operational coordination in planning Iran’s presence at this global event.
