 
        Holding of the First Planning Meeting for Belgrade Expo
The first international planning meeting for Expo 2027 Belgrade was held in the Serbian capital, with the participation of Sadeq Beikzadeh, CEO of the Islamic Republic of Iran International Exhibitions Company, and Mohammad Mehdi Tondguyan, Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors, representing the Islamic Republic of Iran, alongside delegates from over 140 countries worldwide.
The two-day meeting, organized under the auspices of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), focused on presenting and discussing the content and program plans for Expo 2027, fostering dialogue and coordination among participating nations.
Recognized as the largest diplomatic gathering in Serbia’s history, this meeting marks a significant step in aligning and preparing countries for their participation in Expo 2027.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Beikzadeh and Tondguyan met with Mehdi Abadi, Chargé d'Affaires and Acting Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Embassy in Belgrade. During the meeting, they emphasized the necessity of close coordination to ensure Iran’s effective and prominent presence at Expo 2027, highlighting the importance of leveraging Iran’s cultural, economic, and technological capacities in this international event.
The Specialized International Expo 2027 Belgrade, themed "Play for Humanity: Sports and Music for All," will be held in Belgrade from May 15 to August 15, 2027 (corresponding to 25 Ordibehesht to 24 Mordad 1406 in the Iranian calendar). To date, 112 countries and international organizations, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, have officially confirmed their participation.
