From Design to Implementation: Executive Steps for Iran's Participation in Belgrade Expo 2027
The 15th Meeting of the Belgrade Expo Executive Committee was held at the permanent venue of the Tehran International Exhibitions, with the participation of Sadif Beykzadeh (General Commissioner of Iran's presence at the Belgrade Expo), Mohammad Mehdi Tandguyan (Chairman of the Executive Committee), and other committee members. The meeting aimed to review the progress of preparatory steps for the participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Expo 2027.
During the session, a report was presented on actions taken to date, particularly the organization of a design competition for the Iran Pavilion. Emphasis was placed on the necessity of accelerating the selection process for the pavilion's executive contractor. It was also decided that necessary measures should be taken to develop branding and promote Iran's participation at both domestic and international levels.
Additional decisions from the meeting included allocating one of the exhibition halls to create a simulation of Iran's National Pavilion, as well as establishing a National Committee to facilitate the participation of relevant institutions and organizations following the selection of the final pavilion design.
The 15th meeting of the Belgrade Expo Executive Committee, attended by Salar Rezaei and Ali Ebrahimzadeh, members of the Board of Directors of the Association of Iranian Exhibition Organizers, underscored the importance of the Association's cooperation and participation in advancing affairs and organizing specialized sessions.
Expo Belgrade 2027 will take place from May 15 to August 15, 2027, in the capital of Serbia, under the theme "Playing for Humanity: Sports and Music for All." More than 137 countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, are expected to participate in this international event.
