Synergy Meeting of Toy Designers and Manufacturers for Participation in Expo 2027 Belgrade
A specialized brainstorming and synergy meeting was held with the participation of designers, innovators, manufacturers, and exporters from the toy industry, hosted by the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA). During this meeting, which featured speeches by Mohammad Mehdi Tondgouyan, Head of the Executive Committee for Iran's Participation in Expo 2027 Belgrade, and Leila Babaei, Director General of Constructive Entertainment and Computer Games at the IIDCYA, various aspects of Iran's participation in this global event were explained to the toy industry stakeholders.
Tondgouyan, emphasizing the position of the IIDCYA in the toy industry ecosystem, stressed the necessity of coherent planning for the industry's effective presence at the Belgrade Expo. He called on stakeholders in this field to rely on Iran's cultural capacities and creativity to produce standard products that align with the theme of the Expo.
He also stated: "The selected toys must not only convey Iran's cultural message but also possess the necessary standards to compete at the international level, and be aligned with the Expo's slogan, 'Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All'."
Following this, Leila Babaei, highlighting the significant capacities of Iranian manufacturers, emphasized the need to utilize this global opportunity to showcase the capabilities of the country's toy industry. She noted that the IIDCYA is ready to support stakeholders in designing, guiding, and supplying creative products.
At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees shared their views and ideas for designing innovative products and presenting them in the Expo's commercial space, aiming to pave the way for a more cohesive presence of Iran's toy industry in Belgrade.
Expo 2027 Belgrade will be held for three months, from May 15 to August 15, 2027, under the theme "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All," with the participation of over 137 countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
