During the 6th Transport and Logistics Exhibition, in a meeting between Beygzadeh and the Serbian Ambassador
In line with the development of exhibition cooperation and Iran’s active participation in Expo 2027 Belgrade, Sodif Beigzadeh, CEO of the International Exhibitions Company of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with Damir Kovačević, the Serbian Ambassador to Tehran.
During this meeting, Beigzadeh referred to the friendly and long-standing relations between Iran and Serbia, announcing the plans for Iran’s strong presence at this global event. He stated: ‘Given the suitable infrastructure of the Belgrade exhibitions, we expect a successful Expo to be held. Furthermore, by signing a joint memorandum of understanding between the Tehran International Exhibition and the Novi Sad Exhibition, effective steps will be taken to strengthen the presence of businessmen from both countries.’
He identified the removal of existing obstacles in visa issuance and air transportation as necessary for the development of exhibition cooperation and highlighted the significant role of the Serbian Embassy in this regard.
Continuing, Kovačević, the Serbian Ambassador, expressed his pleasure at Iran’s participation among the 120 countries attending the Expo. He added: ‘This event is an important opportunity for introducing Iranian companies, and the Belgrade exhibition is one of the most reputable exhibition capacities in Europe. Expo is the best opportunity for presenting Iranian companies in various fields, especially agriculture. We have many visitors from all over Europe annually, and we are interested in having more delegations from Iran attend this exhibition.’
He also, referring to the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Iran and Novi Sad exhibitions, emphasized: ‘The Serbian Embassy is ready for any cooperation in issuing visas, removing executive obstacles, and supporting Iran’s economic actors. I am confident that Iran’s presence at Expo 2027 Belgrade will be a turning point in the exhibition and commercial relations between the two countries.
