Visit of Iranian and Kurdistan Region of Iraq officials to the Iranian National Pavilion at the Erbil International Sports Exhibition

On the third day of the first International Specialized Sports Exhibition in Erbil, Iraq, Mr. Faramorz Asadi, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Erbil, along with Mr. Shakir Hussein, Director General of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq’s Office for Relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Mr. Berthi and Mr. Khodravisi, Economic and Commercial Counselors, visited the Iranian National Pavilion.

During the visit, Iranian and Iraqi officials engaged in discussions with Iranian exhibitors and participants, emphasizing the need to expand sports and economic cooperation between Iran and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. They also regarded the prominent presence of Iranian companies as a clear indicator of Iran’s strong capacity in the production and export of sports products.

At this exhibition, 14 Iranian companies are participating in the Iranian National Pavilion—established by Milad Nor Company with the support of the Iran International Exhibition Company (IIEC)—to showcase their capabilities and products in the fields of sports, sports equipment, and sports services.

The inaugural Erbil International Sports Exhibition represents a valuable opportunity to enhance commercial and sports ties between the two countries and to highlight Iran’s capabilities in the Iraqi market.

The exhibition will continue until October 7 (16 Aban) at the International Exhibition Center in Erbil, Iraq.
